About Liz
Liz Lanier is a Partner at Ferrentino + Brotz. After several years of practicing as a Licensed Practical Nurse, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kennesaw State University, summa cum laude. She received her Juris Doctorate from Emory University school of law.
Liz has extensive experience in medical malpractice and general liability litigation, as well as health care licensure defense. She has tried cases in in state and federal courts in Georgia and in Florida, and has also represented clients in healthcare licensure actions in both states.
Liz frequently writes about and lectures on medical-legal issues, with an emphasis on patient autonomy, advance directives, and medical lien subrogation. She maintains her license as a Registered Nurse in Florida.
Liz is a member of the Florida Bar, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Georgia, Georgia Court of Appeals and all Georgia Courts; Supreme Court of Florida and all Florida Courts; United States District Court, Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia; United States District Court, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
