About Amanda

Amanda Newlon is a Senior Associate Attorney at Ferrentino + Brotz. She received her B.A. from Florida State University, cum laude, and her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law. Amanda graduated in the top 3% of her class and received several academic awards, including recognition for obtaining the highest grades in her Evidence, Closely Held Businesses, and Criminal Litigation classes. She competed on the Trial Team and was a member of the Executive Board.  Since entering legal practice, Amanda has continued her commitment to education, and is a frequent author and presenter on health care litigation and regulatory topics.

Amanda’s practice focuses on health care litigation and regulatory matters. She defends hospitals, physicians, and other health care professionals in health care litigation and disciplinary actions. Prior to joining Ferrentino + Brotz, Amanda gained valuable experience in medical malpractice, wrongful death, and nursing home litigation. She also has an extensive background in advising clinicians and health care practices in regulatory matters, including: risk management; compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, third-party payor, and HIPAA rules; fraud and abuse; licensing and enrollment; and contract and operational document drafting and negotiation.
