About Amanda

Amanda Newlon is a Partner at Ferrentino + Brotz. She received her B.A. from Florida State University, cum laude, and her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law. Amanda graduated in the top 3% of her class and received several academic awards, including recognition for obtaining the highest grades in her Evidence, Closely Held Businesses, and Criminal Litigation classes. She competed on the Trial Team and was a member of the Executive Board. Since entering legal practice, Amanda has continued her commitment to education, and is a frequent author and presenter on health care regulatory and litigation topics.

Amanda’s practice focuses on health care litigation and regulatory matters. Amanda advises clinicians, health care practices, and hospitals in regulatory matters, including: risk management; compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, third-party payor, and HIPAA rules; fraud and abuse; licensing and enrollment; and contract and operational document drafting and negotiation. She defends hospitals, physicians, and other health care professionals in health care litigation, investigations, and disciplinary actions.

Amanda provides a full-service experience for clients in the health care space, advising on all aspects of operations from formation, licensure, and day-to-day management, to litigation and trial.
